National Bank of Greece Enlists Mellon Technologies in Landmark Deal to Revolutionize ATM Services

Athens, 16 January 2024 –  Mellon Technologies, a leading innovator in the financial technology industry, is proud to announce a transformative partnership with the National Bank of Greece (NBG). This significant collaboration will modernize NBG banking services in the region – introducing new Hyosung ATMs while leveraging software technology from KAL, the world’s leading provider of ATM software.

NBG’s search for a trusted technology partner was motivated by the desire to implement a more agile and innovative branch transformation strategy by deploying new hardware and software technology within the ATM channel. Building on their historical business relationship, NBG awarded Mellon Technologies the contract to upgrade its ATM fleet with 700 new Hyosung recycling ATMs, and cash dispensers combined with KAL software. This project will set a new standard for ATM services in Greece.

With this partnership, NBG will be able to deliver enhanced features, added convenience and increased reliability to their customers. Providing the industry’s best ATM technology underscores NBG’s strong commitment to delivering premium financial services.

To address the software needs, Mellon Technologies will deploy KAL’s advanced ATM application (K3A) and ATM management system (KTC). These powerful solutions are fully compatible with hundreds of ATM models from 40+ manufacturers in addition to Hyosung. This approach will ensure NBG has the freedom to choose the very best ATM hardware to meet its current and future business needs.

With the introduction of Hyosung’s industry leading Series 8 ATMs, NBG is adopting cash recycling technology to streamline productivity and drive greater efficiency in their self-service operations. These innovations will allow NBG to not only greatly enhance its branch cash operations, but also free up branch personnel to focus on high-value tasks and provide a more personalized customer service.
