The first Blockchain meetup with a fully booked stage.

The Hellenic Blockchain Hub (HBH) organized the 1st meetup OpenB3 at BIOS on the 25th of September.

Participation surpassed all expectations, as over 200 people from technology, business, universities and research centers attended the event.

The OpenB3 meetup was developed around 4 themes:

• Presentation of the Hellenic Blockchain Hub, its activity and planning for the next period
• Industry Insights from the business and research communities
• Presentations from groups and startups that develop ideas and solutions around blockchain
• Presentation of Crowdfunding and discussion on financial tools related to blockchain technology

In his presentation, George Panou, Digital Innovation Manager at Mellon Group of Companies and a member of the HBH Board, explained the basic principles of blockchain and presented how a Self-sovereign Digital Identity, leveraging blockchain, can reboot the web of trust.
